Pucketa Creek Stormwater Control - A project to implement innovative stream channel design addressing certain erosion and sedimentation concerns on Little Pucketa Creek in the vicinity of Valley High School and Seventh Street, and the area that was severely impacted by Hurricane Ivan in 2004. The Westmoreland Conservation District partnered with Valley High School, the City of New Kensington, and the Pucketa and Chartiers Creek Watershed Association to complete phase one of this project in 2008.

With streambank stabilization completed on the Valley High School property, the Westmoreland Conservation District looks to design and build an infiltration parking lot and debris basin.
