District Video Receives a 2019 Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence

The District received a 2019 Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence for its educational video: Stormwater Basin Retrofitting.  The two-part video, which discusses the design, assessment, retrofitting, and maintenance of stormwater basins, was produced by watershed specialist Chelsea Walker and filmed by Anne Daymut, watershed coordinator for Western PA Coalition for Abandoned Mine Reclamation.  It was funded by a grant from the PA Association of Conservation Districts, Inc., through a grant from the PA DEP under section 319 of the Clean Water Act administered by the EPA.

On hand to accept the award at a special awards program in Harrisburg were Chelsea Walker and Ron Rohall.
